FAQ | Frequently asked questions about the Lemukih Trekking Tour

  • Is the Lemukih Tour hard to do?
No. The Lemukih Tour is an easy level trekking tour which can be done by anyone who is in a healthy condition and has some walking experience.
  • Is it possible to do the Lemukih Tour without a guide?
Only if you are familiar with the area and know the tracks. As there are no road signs and no paved paths, you will normally need a guide in order not to get lost.
  • Is the Lemukih Tour suitable for elder people?
Yes. Altough we only follow small foot tracks, there is no real steep climbing. The 'hardest' part may be the track with stone steps that winds down for about 90 meters into the valley of the waterfalls, and up again afterwards. If you are healthy and have some walking experience you should be able to do this.
  • Is the Lemukih Tour suitable for children?
Yes. There is no dangerous climbing up or down. If your children have some walking experience they should be able to do this trekking tour.
  • What clothes should I wear?
You are recommended to wear loosely fitting clothes and comfortable walking shoes. No high heels. A cotton shirt with sleeves and long trousers are recommended. Bring a baseball cap or a hat to protect your head and neck from sunburn.
  • What about food and drinks during the tour?
You don't need to bring your own food and drinks. Lunch, snacks, mineral water, coffee, tea and other refreshments are provided and are included in the tour price.
  • How long in advance should I book this tour?
You can book the Lemukih Tour at any time, at the latest one day before the date you wish to do the tour. If you book longer in advance however, you will be more sure that the desired date for the trekking is still free.
  • How and when will my booking be confirmed?
After you have sent us your booking reservation we will confirm the receipt of your reservation by email.

We kindly ask you to re-confirm your reservation by telephone one day before you do the tour, mentioning your room number, your name and the number of attendants. The phone number to call will be sent to you with our reservation confirmation e-mail.
  • Why must I confirm my booking once I am in Bali ?
In order to pick you up we need to know the name of your hotel and your room number; we need a confirmation of the actual number of people that will attend since we must arrange for the catering of the tour.
  • Is it possible to pick us up in other areas of Bali?
Yes, but then we have to charge you Rp. 450,000 extra on top of the total price of your booking, to cover the extra transport costs. In general it will be more economical to arrange your own transport to Lovina in such cases.

If you arrange your own transport to Lovina and also use your car to drive to the start of the trekking, you can even save Rp. 300,000 on the total price of your booking (namely the transport costs from Lovina to the start of the trekking and back). However you will then have pick up (and afterwards drop off) your tour guide at Dolphin Square in Central Lovina.
  • Are the tour prices negotiable and when must I pay?
The tour prices are not negotiable. You can pay the costs to your tour guide at the day you do the trekking. You can pay with Euro or Rupiah (Rupiah prices depend on the day rate of the Rupiah).
  • Does the Lemukih Tour include insurance?
No. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual attendants and should be arranged via your own (travel) insurance company, if desired.

INTRODUCING YOUR GUIDE

Your trekking guide is Ketut 'Bluey' Ariana. Already at a young age Ketut felt a great love for the nature of North Bali. He loves to be out there and meditate in the solitude of nature. Lemukih trekking guide Ketut Ariana
During one of his private expeditions in 2003, Ketut (re)discovered the great falls of Lemukih. As the energy and beauty of this spectacular area was so unexpectedly overwhelming, he felt he should share this exceptional and unique experience with nature with all who are interested to follow his steps - the Lemukih Tekking Tour was born.
